when, where, and what time is the special event?
The Los Angeles Black Worker Center’s 15th Anniversary Celebration will be held on September 25, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Center for Communities in Los Angeles, California.
What is the purpose of the celebration?
This milestone event honors 15 years of LABWC’s bold organizing, policy advocacy, and programmatic impact on Black workers across Los Angeles. It will feature live performances, storytelling, culinary experiences, dancing, a wellness zone, and a dynamic awards program. Most importantly, it’s a celebratory fundraiser to help us expand our movement.
How do I attend the event?
Sponsorship and underwriter opportunities are available which include guests attendance.
How can I sponsor the event or purchase a journal ad?
There are several sponsorship and underwriting levels available, each with unique recognition benefits and event access. We also offer ad placements in our Digital Commemorative Journal.
Is my sponsorship or journal ad purchase tax-deductible?
Yes. LABWC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Sponsorships and ads are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Our tax ID is 86-3395955. A formal acknowledgment letter will be provided for your records.
Who will my Digital journal ad reach?
Your message in LABWC’s 15th Anniversary Digital Souvenir Journal, debuts to 225 engaged event attendees and will reach up to 12,897 supporters via post-event email. With an estimated 7,966–13,122 impressions, your ad will be seen by a mission-aligned audience committed to Black worker justice and equity across Los Angeles.
Will there be a program or awards ceremony?
Yes! The evening includes a moving program featuring remarks from community leaders, cultural performers, and a special honoring of changemakers who have shaped Black worker justice in Los Angeles.
What kind of food and entertainment can guests expect?
Get ready for a soulful evening filled with joy, culture, and community! We’ll feature a Black chef-curated dinner experience that celebrates the rich flavors of our heritage. The evening will also include live entertainment, uplifting performances, and powerful storytelling that honors 15 years of Black worker victories and collective power. Come hungry. Leave inspired.
Are there any age restrictions for attending the event?
Yes. Due to the nature of the event, no one under the age of 16 should attend, with the exception of honorees or performers who are part of the official program.
