the vibe - It’s a celebration!
Join us for a dynamic evening honoring the people and movement advancing racial and economic justice for Black workers in Los Angeles on September 25th at 5pm.
This special event will feature a vibrant program and awards ceremony that uplifts the stories of Black workers, leaders and allies who have shaped our journey and will shape the future.
As we gather during a time of continued economic inequality and labor attacks, we choose to resist with culture, connection and joy.
Your support helps power LABWC’s organizing, advocacy, and workforce development efforts to build a strong, thriving Black workforce in Los Angeles.
Let’s celebrate our past. Celebrate our people. And fund the future together
the Location - Center for communities

Situated within the districts of our founder Senator Lola Smallwood-Cuevas and two local councilmembers, and just down the street from our campus on Crenshaw Blvd. this venue reflects our deep community roots.
A restored 1927 Neo-Classical landmark, the Center for Communities is conveniently located between downtown and the Westside.
